Garden District

Nestled in Historic Downtown Coeur d’Alene the Garden District is located just North of Sherman Ave. between 4th and 11th streets bordered by Montana Ave to the North. A collection of approximately 750 largely Craftsman and some Victorian-style homes built in the early to mid-1900’s line the quiet tree-lined streets.  High pride of ownership and an infusion of young families is continuing to keep the area fresh and desirable. Foster Ave. is central to the neighborhood both in location and curb appeal and leads people directly to our town’s finest community garden – Shared Harvest.  With its proximity to downtown, this is the area to be for a stroll, bike ride or even running clubs on the wide and inviting streets.  Here you will find the cozy 2.5 acre G.O. Phippeny Park located on the site of the historical Coeur d’Alene High School (1910) with a basketball court, picnic area and minimalist playground.
